TLDR Lifestyle changes and medication can improve the quality of life for women with PCOS by reducing complications.
The study involved 150 women aged 15-45 with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and aimed to evaluate the complications associated with the condition and the effectiveness of lifestyle interventions and medication over a 6-month period. It found that the most affected age group was 21-25 years, with 135 patients reporting infertility and 140 experiencing menstrual dysfunction. After implementing lifestyle changes and medication, 50% of these complications improved. The study concluded that such interventions can enhance the quality of life for women with PCOS by alleviating complications, potentially reducing insulin resistance, and improving reproductive and metabolic symptoms.
