An 11-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital with progressive skin and mucous membrane detachment following a four-day history of sore throat and fever. She developed redness and blisters on her chest and face shortly after the initial symptoms. The patient had a history of seizure disorder and was on valproate for three years and carbamazepine for three weeks. Upon admission, she exhibited numerous atypical target lesions with central blisters on her face and neck.
