TLDR The serum improved hair growth and comfort after hair transplant.
This exploratory randomized controlled trial involved 30 men with androgenic alopecia undergoing hair transplantation and assessed the efficacy and tolerance of a serum containing Silybum marianum extract, manganese PCA, and Lespedeza capitata extract over 1 year. The study found that the serum significantly improved scalp tightness, discomfort, and hair condition from 6 to 12 months post-transplant compared to a control group using only shampoo. The serum was well-tolerated, with no serious adverse events, suggesting its potential as a beneficial dermocosmetic adjuvant for post-transplant care. Despite the small sample size, the results indicate the need for further research with larger populations.
