This article discusses the integration of barber scalp care methods with medical treatment for early-stage alopecia, highlighting the benefits for both scalp condition and psychological well-being. Traditional barber techniques like scalp massage and cleansing can improve microcirculation, reduce inflammation, and enhance medication penetration, while also reframing the patient's mindset from illness to self-care. Barbers, who often see clients more regularly than dermatologists, can play a crucial role in early diagnosis, especially in men. Theoretical analysis suggests that combining barber care with medical treatment yields better results than medical treatment alone by optimizing hair growth conditions and reducing stress, which can exacerbate alopecia. The article calls for collaboration models between barbers and dermatologists, training programs for barbers, and standardized care protocols to enhance the effectiveness of alopecia treatment.
