TLDR Technology enhances human design thinking, creating new possibilities.
The article explores how technology acts as an extension of human cognitive and creative abilities in design, inspired by Marshall McLuhan's idea of media as an "extension of man." Through a qualitative analysis of modern design practices, supported by philosophical literature and case studies, it identifies three levels of technological extension, three inherent human limitations, and three new paradigms in design thinking. The conclusion emphasizes that technology enhances rather than replaces design thinking, opening new possibilities and necessitating a philosophy of hybrid, reflective practice.
