Serum Vitamin D and Serum Ferritin Levels in Male Pattern Hair Loss: Is There a Role?

    The study aimed to evaluate serum vitamin D and ferritin levels in males with androgenetic alopecia compared to a control group. Conducted at Fayoum University Hospital, it included 60 male subjects, with 30 patients having androgenetic alopecia and 30 healthy volunteers as controls. The results indicated that vitamin D levels were significantly lower in patients with androgenetic alopecia, while there was no significant difference in ferritin levels between the two groups.
