June 2024 in “Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology” The study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of fractional radiofrequency (FRF) in treating erythematotelangiectatic rosacea in 20 patients. Each patient's face was split, with one side receiving FRF treatments. Results showed significant improvements in red zone and porphyrin counts on the treated side, as well as reductions in pore size and capillary visibility. The Clinician's Erythema Evaluation Scale (CEA) scores indicated significant improvements on the treated side compared to the control. The mean pain score was 3.67 ± 0.90, with mild adverse effects like edema and erythema, but no long-term issues. One month post-treatment, 85% of participants reported satisfaction, confirming FRF as an effective and safe treatment for rosacea.
