Eosinophilic Fasciitis, also known as Shulman's Syndrome, is a rare inflammatory condition where the fascia, the connective tissue surrounding muscles, becomes thickened and inflamed. This leads to swelling, pain, and stiffness in the arms and legs. The condition is characterized by an increased number of eosinophils, a type of white blood cell, in the affected tissue and sometimes in the blood. Diagnosis often involves a combination of clinical evaluation, blood tests, and a biopsy of the affected tissue.
