5 / 223 resultsresearch A novel hairless highly immunodeficient mice model optimized for in vivo imaging
Researchers have developed a novel Hairless Rag2/Jak3 KO mice model, known as Hairless R/J mice, optimized for in vivo imaging. These mice are hairless and lack T, B, and NK cell phenotypes, making them ideal for non-invasive observation of molecular behavior. Compared to traditional Nude mice, Hairless R/J mice have thinner skin and superior optical properties, enhancing imaging capabilities. The model was tested using green fluorescent beads and mCherry-expressing human cholangiocarcinoma cells, as well as Ihara cells for live imaging of tumor growth. This new model is expected to be a valuable tool for noninvasive tumor monitoring and evaluating anticancer therapies.
research 559 Induction of tissue-specific premature stem cell aging promotes senescence-like phenotypes in remote multiple organs
Aging in one type of stem cell can cause aging-like changes in various organs.
research Congenital Hypotrichosis in Japanese White Strain (JW-NIBS) Rabbits.
A single recessive gene causes sparse hair in certain Japanese White rabbits.
research Generation of Hair Follicle Germs In Vitro Using Human Postnatal Skin Cells
Scientists created early-stage hair follicles from human skin cells, which could help treat baldness and study hair growth.
research Organogenesis From Dissociated Cells: Generation of Mature Cycling Hair Follicles From Skin-Derived Cells
Scientists have found a way to create hair follicles from skin cells of newborn mice, which can grow and cycle naturally when injected into adult mouse skin.

community Functional hair follicles grown from stem cells: Scientists have created natural-looking hair that grows through the skin using human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), a major scientific achievement that could revolutionize the hair growth industry.
Scientists have grown natural-looking hair from stem cells, potentially revolutionizing hair growth treatments. Concerns include cost, DHT resistance, and the need for future procedures.
community Japan-led "Third Cell" Discovery: Is this the missing link for full follicle regeneration?
A new "third cell" discovery in Japan could be key to fully regenerating hair follicles, with human trials possibly starting in 2027-2028. AI is expected to accelerate medical discoveries, potentially leading to a hair loss cure within a few years.
community God bless H&M's fitting room lighting
Diffuse thinners find shopping challenging due to harsh overhead lighting, but H&M's side lighting in fitting rooms is more flattering. Many users humorously suggest banning overhead lighting to improve the shopping experience.
