An inactivated vaccine, also known as a killed vaccine, is a type of vaccine created by using viruses or bacteria that have been killed or inactivated so they cannot cause disease. These vaccines stimulate the immune system to recognize and fight the pathogen without the risk of causing the illness itself. Examples include the polio vaccine and the hepatitis A vaccine.
