Methotrexate significantly increased serum transaminase levels, whereas baricitinib did not. Baricitinib significantly affected serum creatinine and lipid profiles, with increases in total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL. Overall, baricitinib demonstrated superior safety compared to methotrexate after 6 months of treatment.
