Despite having no prior history of hair disorders, she experienced acute hair shedding and patchy hair loss post-surgery. A biopsy confirmed LPP, and treatment stabilized her condition. This case is the first reported instance of LPP following HLS, suggesting that surgical trauma may trigger LPP in predisposed individuals through mechanisms like the Koebner phenomenon and immune responses. The incidence and risk factors for LPP after HLS remain unknown.
