    Mites are tiny arthropods belonging to the class Arachnida, which also includes spiders and ticks. They can be found in a variety of environments, including soil, water, and as parasites on plants and animals. Some mites, like the Demodex species, live on human skin and hair follicles, and while they are usually harmless, they can sometimes cause skin conditions or contribute to hair loss.
