Chronic Mucocutaneous Candidiasis (CMC) is a condition characterized by persistent and recurrent infections of the skin, nails, and mucous membranes (such as the mouth and genitals) caused by the Candida species of fungi. This condition often results from an underlying immune system defect, making it difficult for the body to control Candida growth.
