This scoping review highlights the emerging role of nursing in hair nutrition and scalp health, emphasizing the importance of patient education on the nutritional impacts on hair growth and health. Although direct nursing interventions in 'hair nutrition' are limited, the principles of holistic assessment and health promotion are crucial. The review identifies a gap in the integration of hair and scalp nutrition into nursing curricula and care protocols, advocating for its inclusion to enhance patient outcomes and self-esteem. By incorporating hair nutrition into routine assessments, nurses can elevate the standard of holistic care.
