Hysteroscopy identified minor abnormalities such as thin endometrium, tiny polyps, and sub-septate uterus in a small percentage of cases. Histopathological findings like chronic endometritis and disordered proliferative endometrium were more common in the PCOS group. Despite these findings, no significant clinical correlations were established, leading to the conclusion that routine hysteroscopy is not recommended for women with normal TVS, though it may be beneficial for detecting subtle intrauterine pathology in cases of long-standing infertility.
