Traditional Medicine refers to the knowledge, skills, and practices based on the theories, beliefs, and experiences indigenous to different cultures, used in the maintenance of health and in the prevention, diagnosis, improvement, or treatment of physical and mental illnesses. This can include herbal remedies, acupuncture, and other practices that have been passed down through generations. It is also known as Folk Medicine or Indigenous Medicine and often contrasts with modern, evidence-based medical practices.
