Rice husk and bran extracts from the Bue Bang 3 CMU variety can potentially treat hair loss due to their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-androgenic properties.
research Polygenic risk score predicting susceptibility and outcome of benign prostatic hyperplasia in the Han Chinese
A higher genetic risk score increases the chance of getting benign prostatic hyperplasia and affects treatment outcomes in Han Chinese men.
research First-in-human phase 1 study of ETC-159 an oral PORCN inhbitor in patients with advanced solid tumours.
ETC-159 was safe up to 30 mg, but no tumor shrinkage was seen.
research The effect of treatment with an LH-RH agonist (Buserelin) on gonadal activity growth and bone maturation in children with central precocious puberty
Buserelin safely and effectively suppresses early puberty, potentially improving final height.
research Expression profile analysis of dermal papilla cells mRNA in response to WNT10B treatment
WNT10B affects hair growth by altering gene activity in hair cells.
research A Cost-per-Responder Analysis of Ritlecitinib vs Baricitinib in Severe Alopecia Areata
The study conducted a cost-per-responder analysis comparing ritlecitinib and baricitinib for treating severe alopecia areata. Ritlecitinib, a JAK3/TEC inhibitor, showed greater efficacy and a lower cost per responder than baricitinib, a JAK1/2 inhibitor, at both Weeks 24 and 52. Specifically, 52.10% of ritlecitinib initiators achieved a significant response by Week 24 compared to 36.28% for baricitinib. By Week 52, 40.26% of ritlecitinib users reached the desired outcome versus 30.63% for baricitinib. The cost per responder was lower for ritlecitinib at both time points, suggesting it may be a more cost-effective option for inclusion in treatment plans for severe alopecia areata.
research Birt–Hogg–Dubé syndrome
Birt–Hogg–Dubé syndrome is a rare genetic condition causing skin lesions, lung cysts, and a higher chance of kidney cancer.
research Berberine-based strategies: novel delivery systems bring out new potential for wound healing
Berberine delivery systems improve wound healing by enhancing bioavailability, reducing inflammation, and promoting tissue regeneration.
research Effects on Steroid 5-Alpha Reductase Gene Expression of Thai Rice Bran Extracts and Molecular Dynamics Study on SRD5A2
Thai rice bran extracts, especially from Tubtim Chumphae rice, can significantly reduce the activity of hair loss genes, with x-tocopherol showing potential as an anti-hair loss product.
