TLDR Tissue bioengineering and regenerative medicine are improving tissue restoration and recovery, with promising new therapies and personalized approaches.
Tissue bioengineering and regenerative aesthetic medicine are advancing rapidly, integrating various scientific fields to enhance tissue restoration and functional recovery. This review highlights the effectiveness of adipose-derived stem cells and platelet-rich plasma as established regenerative interventions due to their safety and efficacy. Emerging technologies like exosome-based therapies and advanced tissue-engineering platforms show promise for future developments. Key mechanisms for successful regeneration include angiogenesis, extracellular matrix remodeling, cellular signaling, and endocrine regulation. Personalized approaches that optimize metabolic and hormonal factors are increasingly important. Despite progress, challenges such as protocol standardization, clinical validation, regulatory issues, and accessibility hinder widespread adoption. Overall, these fields hold potential for transforming healthcare by improving biological restoration and aesthetic outcomes.
