TLDR Apple cider vinegar improved the cat's skin condition and reduced symptoms in a week.
This study reports on the use of apple cider vinegar as a treatment for a 3-year-old domestic cat diagnosed with scabiosis, malasseziosis, and otitis externa. The cat presented with symptoms including crusting, alopecia, swelling near the mouth, hypersalivation, and ear discharge. Apple cider vinegar was applied topically as an antimicrobial agent, resulting in significant improvement in skin condition and reduction of lesions within 7 days. Otitis externa was treated with Oridermyl® ointment, and fish oil capsules were given to support skin health and immune function. Overall, the treatment led to a reduction in symptoms, including crusting, alopecia, and ear discharge, within a week.
