Comparison of Bleaching Results Using Aluminum Foil and Without Aluminum Foil on Copper Blonde Hair Color

This study compared the effectiveness of hair bleaching techniques using aluminum foil versus not using foil on achieving the copper blonde color. Conducted in Padang City with 6 women aged 15–45, the research used a quantitative descriptive approach and a pre-experimental posttest-only design. Results showed a significant difference between the two techniques, with the aluminum foil method yielding a higher mean score of 3.87 compared to 2.68 without foil. This indicates that using aluminum foil results in better lightness and color uniformity, making it a more effective technique for hair bleaching. The study suggests practical implications for hairstyling and opens avenues for further research with larger samples.
