TLDR Cinobufacin with chemotherapy improves treatment response and quality of life in advanced breast cancer patients while reducing some side effects.
This systematic review and meta-analysis assessed the efficacy and safety of combining Cinobufacin with chemotherapy for advanced breast cancer, involving 1,331 patients across 16 randomized controlled trials. The combination treatment improved clinical efficacy, quality of life, and reduced tumor markers (CA125, CA153, and CEA) compared to chemotherapy alone, while also decreasing adverse reactions like gastrointestinal issues, liver and kidney damage, and hair loss. Despite these positive findings, the study acknowledged variability due to differences in chemotherapy methods and the quality of the studies, suggesting the need for further research on different dosage forms of Cinobufacin.
