The protein encoded by this sequence consists of 1181 amino acids. Homologous comparisons showed high conservation of the Hr gene among different species, indicating its functional significance. The study identified 4 SNP sites and one deletion mutation in the hairless gene mRNAs, with two SNPs resulting in amino acid changes, providing new data for SNPs in the Hr gene.
