Formulation and Physicochemical Evaluation of a Coconut Oil-Based Synergistic Polyherbal Hair Oil

The study developed a coconut oil-based synergistic polyherbal hair oil using medicinal plant materials traditionally used for hair care. The formulation included ingredients like Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Nigella sativa, and others, incorporated into coconut oil through a controlled hot maceration technique. The physicochemical evaluation showed satisfactory organoleptic properties, appropriate pH for scalp application, and good quality and stability indicated by acid and saponification values. The formulation remained stable under accelerated conditions, suggesting it could be a promising herbal hair care product. Further biological evaluation is recommended to support therapeutic claims.
