COMPUTER-AIDED ANALYSIS OF FENUGREEK PHYTOCONSTITUENTS FOR PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES USING PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING AND MOLECULAR DOCKING APPROACHES

    The study investigated the phytochemical properties of Trigonella foenum-graecum L. (fenugreek) seed extracts and their potential therapeutic effects using molecular docking. The hydroalcoholic extract was found to have the richest phytochemical profile, with diosgenin and kaempferol identified as key compounds. Molecular docking showed that kaempferol had strong anti-dandruff activity, diosgenin showed promising anti-alopecia effects, and quercetin had high antioxidant affinity. The phytoconstituents demonstrated good safety profiles and drug-likeness, suggesting that fenugreek is a valuable source of bioactive compounds for developing treatments for dandruff, alopecia, and oxidative stress.
