TLDR The nutrient combination improved hair condition and was safe for women with diffuse hair loss.
This study assessed the effects of a combination of cystine, B vitamins, and minerals on diffuse hair loss in 34 women aged 30-75 over 6 months. Results indicated a significant improvement in hair condition, with a 2.35% increase in anagen hairs and a 2.35% decrease in telogen hairs, leading to a 2.37% increase in the anagen/telogen hair ratio. Participants reported positive acceptance of the product, and no serious side effects were observed, although 26 undesired effects were reported in 18 participants. The study concluded that the nutrient combination is beneficial, well-accepted, and safe for managing diffuse hair loss in women, despite limitations such as the open-label design and lack of a placebo group.
