TLDR Deucravacitinib may effectively treat discoid lupus erythematosus.
A 65-year-old woman with discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) and palmoplantar pustular psoriasis was successfully treated with deucravacitinib, a selective TYK-2 inhibitor, experiencing rapid improvement in DLE symptoms within 1 month. This case indicates that deucravacitinib could be a promising treatment for DLE, potentially reducing the need for multiple medications. Further research is needed to assess the broader efficacy of TYK-2 inhibitors for DLE and other related conditions.
