This case report details the successful Ayurvedic treatment of a 23-year-old male with Dushivishajanya Indralupta, a form of alopecia barbae. The condition, characterized by a circular patch of hair loss in the beard, was managed using a combination of Shamana (palliative internal medication) and Shodhana (purificatory Pracchana Karma) therapies. Within 10 days of treatment, significant improvement was observed, including the appearance of tiny hairs in the affected area. This suggests that Ayurvedic management can be effective in treating alopecia barbae linked to toxic origins.

These therapies aimed to balance Dosha, purify Srotas, and renew hair follicles. The patient experienced a significant reduction in hair fall, itching, and lesion size, with marked hair regrowth and improved hair density by the end of the treatment, highlighting Ayurveda's holistic approach as a promising alternative for Alopecia Areata management.
