A Pre-Experimental Study to Assess the Effectiveness of a Structured Teaching Program on Knowledge Regarding Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Among Adolescent Girls in a Selected Senior Secondary School, Amritsar, Punjab

    The study assessed the effectiveness of a structured teaching program on knowledge about Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) among 100 adolescent girls in a senior secondary school in Amritsar, Punjab. Initially, 66% of participants had below-average knowledge of PCOS. After the teaching program, 78% demonstrated good knowledge. The study concluded that structured educational interventions significantly enhance understanding of PCOS among adolescents, highlighting the importance of educating young girls to improve their contribution to obstetrics and gynecological health services.
