Assessing the Efficacy of Multimodal Therapy in Nonsurgical Hair Restoration for Noncicatricial Alopecia: A Retrospective Study

    The study evaluated the efficacy of multimodal therapy in treating noncicatricial alopecia in 350 participants, focusing on androgenetic hair loss. The therapy, which combines multispin platelet-rich plasma, minoxidil, finasteride, nutritional correction, and lifestyle changes, showed significant improvements in hair diameter and density, particularly in early-stage alopecia. Statistical analysis demonstrated significant improvements in hair parameters, with P values of 0.0001 for most grades, indicating strong evidence of treatment effectiveness. However, advanced stages showed reduced response, suggesting surgical options might be more suitable for these cases. The study highlights the potential of multimodal therapy as an effective treatment for early-stage noncicatricial alopecia, though further research is needed to optimize protocols for advanced hair loss and evaluate long-term efficacy. Limitations include its retrospective design and lack of a control group.
