TLDR The drinkable supplement increased hair growth and was safe for women with hair loss.
The study assessed the efficacy and safety of a drinkable nutraceutical, Olistic Women, in 106 premenopausal women with telogen effluvium over 6 months. It was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with 53 women in each group. The active product significantly increased hair density to 27.31 hairs/cm² compared to 18.23 hairs/cm² in the placebo group by day 180 and improved the anagen-to-catagen/telogen (A:C/T) ratio from 8.20:1 to 14.19:1. The nutraceutical was well-tolerated with no adverse events, suggesting it is an effective and safe non-pharmacological strategy for managing telogen effluvium by targeting multiple biological pathways.
