TLDR The serum with microneedling device improves hair loss treatment effectively and safely.
The study focuses on developing a triamcinolone acetonide serum combined with a derma stamp microneedling device to treat alopecia areata, an autoimmune condition causing hair loss. Traditional treatments face challenges like pain and low adherence. The new serum, created using a co-solvency method, ensures optimal drug solubility and a lightweight texture, with a skin-compatible pH and appropriate viscosity. Safety and drug compatibility were confirmed through various tests, and the derma stamp aids in delivering the drug effectively to hair follicles by creating microchannels. This approach promises a less invasive, targeted, and patient-friendly treatment for alopecia areata.
