TLDR New cryomicroneedles can improve hair growth and regeneration.
The study introduces an innovative method for hair follicle regeneration using cryomicroneedles (cryoMN@HFO) loaded with hair follicle organoids (HFOs) developed from a microfluidic organoid-on-a-chip system. This approach allows for precise cell distribution and efficient intradermal delivery, promoting hair regeneration without skin damage. In vivo experiments on mice showed that over 70% of implantation sites achieved successful hair regeneration, with the regenerated follicles exhibiting normal characteristics. The study highlights the potential of cryoMN@HFO as a safe and effective strategy for treating hair loss, addressing limitations of current alopecia treatments.
