Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin Promotes Proliferation and Trichogenic Inductivity of Dermal Papilla Cells Through Activating TGF-β/Smad Signaling Pathway

    Injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) has been shown to significantly enhance the proliferation, migration, and hair-inducing abilities of dermal papilla cells (DPCs) compared to platelet-rich plasma (PRP) by activating the TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway. This study highlights the superior effects of i-PRF over PRP in promoting hair follicle regeneration, suggesting its potential as a beneficial treatment for hair loss. The use of Galunisertib, a TGF-beta receptor I inhibitor, was able to counteract the effects of i-PRF, further confirming the role of the TGF-β/Smad pathway in these processes.
