TLDR Dietary habits and stress management are key to preventing hair loss.
The study explores the integrative approach to Khalitya (hair loss) by combining Ayurvedic principles with modern science. It involved 40 participants diagnosed with Khalitya, examining both traditional Ayurvedic causes and modern biochemical factors. The study found that 85% of participants reported incompatible food combinations, 75% excessive salt intake, and 62.5% excessive alkaline food intake as common causes. Biochemical analysis showed 55% had low serum calcium levels, aligning with the Ayurvedic concept of Asthi Dhatu kshaya (bone tissue depletion). The findings highlight the connection between dietary habits and hair loss, emphasizing prevention through dietary regulation, stress management, and biochemical monitoring. This integrative model offers a comprehensive framework for understanding and managing hair health.
