LncRNA-599554 Sponges miR-15a-5p to Enhance Inductive Ability of Dermal Papilla Cells Through Positive Regulation of Wnt3a Expression in Cashmere Goats

    The study investigated the role of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA-599554) in the inductive properties of dermal papilla cells (DPCs) in cashmere goats. It was found that lncRNA-599554 had higher expression during the anagen phase of secondary hair follicles compared to the telogen phase. Through overexpression and knockdown experiments, lncRNA-599554 was shown to enhance the inductive ability of DPCs by interacting with chi-miR-15a-5p and positively regulating Wnt3a expression. This regulation did not involve changes in promoter methylation but occurred at the post-transcriptional level. The findings provided new insights into the mechanism of lncRNA-599554 in hair follicle regeneration and cashmere fiber growth.
