TLDR The new scalp therapy shows promise for hair growth but needs more research.
The study explores a novel combination scalp therapy for androgenetic alopecia in a retrospective case series of 51 patients, with 28 completing at least four months of follow-up. The procedure includes partial temporalis muscle resection, silicone implantation, negative-pressure scalp stimulation, and injections of botulinum toxin, PRP, and SVF. Quantitative analysis of 6 patients showed significant improvements in hair shaft thickness and terminal-hair proportion at 3-4 months, with one patient demonstrating sustained benefits over four years. Despite promising results, the study's design limitations necessitate further controlled research to confirm the therapy's efficacy.
