TLDR Combining Endo-RF with PRP may improve acne scars better than Endo-RF alone.
This pilot study involving 10 patients assessed the effectiveness of Endo-RF subcision alone versus its combination with PRP for treating post-acne scars. Both treatments significantly reduced scar severity, with the Endo-RF group improving from an average score of 12.5 to 8.8, and the PRP + Endo-RF group improving from 12.65 to 6.3. However, qualitative improvements were not statistically significant, and no significant difference in recovery was observed between the groups. The study concludes that while both treatments are effective, adding PRP does not significantly enhance outcomes compared to Endo-RF alone. No adverse effects were reported.
