In a 12-week pilot study, the use of plasma- and sonophoresis-assisted topical delivery of an exosome-containing formulation showed improvements in hair growth metrics, photographic assessments, and scalp health in individuals with androgenic alopecia. The treatment demonstrated a favorable short-term safety profile. However, controlled trials are necessary to confirm the efficacy of the treatment and to determine the specific contributions of the delivery methods used.
