The study developed and evaluated a polyherbal powder shampoo using Ayurvedic medicinal plants like Shikakai, Reetha, Amla, Bhringraj, Neem, Hibiscus, and Multani Mitti, known for their cleansing, conditioning, antimicrobial, antioxidant, and hair growth-promoting properties. Three formulations were tested, with F3 showing superior performance in cleansing, conditioning, and scalp protection. The shampoo demonstrated significant antimicrobial and anti-dandruff activity, making it a safe, stable, biodegradable, and effective alternative to synthetic shampoos.
