The case report discusses the successful Ayurvedic management of Shwitra (Vitiligo) in an 18-year-old female using Pracchana Karma, a bloodletting procedure, combined with systemic Ayurvedic medicines and topical treatments. Over six months, the patient underwent Pracchana Karma every 15 days and took various Ayurvedic medicines orally, while applying Bakuchi taila topically with controlled sunlight exposure. The treatment led to progressive re-pigmentation, reduction in patch size, and restoration of normal skin color without adverse effects. The integrative approach facilitated immune modulation, toxin clearance, enhanced melanocyte activity, and tissue repair, offering a safe and effective alternative for managing Vitiligo.
