TLDR Stem cell-derived therapies can help rejuvenate skin by improving wrinkles, elasticity, and pigmentation.
Stem cell-derived cell-free therapies offer a promising approach to combat skin aging by utilizing components like secretomes and extracellular vesicles. These therapies work through multiple mechanisms, including activating regenerative pathways, regulating oxidative stress, preventing extracellular matrix degradation, and modulating cell activity and inflammation. The review analyzed 27 in vitro studies and highlighted improvements in skin features such as wrinkles, elasticity, and pigmentation. Overall, these therapies represent a novel treatment option for skin rejuvenation by targeting specific molecular pathways.
