Educational Status and Satisfaction of Scalp Micropigmentation Practitioners in Korea

The study examines the educational status and satisfaction of scalp micropigmentation (SMP) practitioners in Korea, highlighting significant variations in institutional operation, training duration, cost, and curriculum. A survey of 303 practitioners revealed that satisfaction was highest in practical training (M=3.07), followed by theoretical training (M=2.85), with hygiene and infection control training receiving the lowest satisfaction (M=2.52). Positive correlations were found among all training domains, particularly between theoretical and practical training. The findings suggest a need for a standardized curriculum that integrates theory, practical skills, and hygiene to enhance professionalism and safety in SMP education.
