    GlossaryCell Therapy

involves administering live cells to treat or prevent diseases

Cell Therapy, also known as Cellular Therapy or Cell-based Therapy, involves the administration of live cells to a patient to treat or prevent a disease. These cells can be derived from the patient (autologous) or a donor (allogeneic) and are often used to regenerate damaged tissues, modulate immune responses, or deliver therapeutic agents directly to affected areas. This approach is being explored for a variety of conditions, including certain types of alopecia, where stem cells or other cell types may help stimulate hair growth and repair hair follicles.
