Fibrin Degradation Products (FDPs) are fragments produced when the protein fibrin, which helps form blood clots, is broken down in the body. These products can be measured in the blood to help diagnose conditions related to abnormal clotting, such as deep vein thrombosis or disseminated intravascular coagulation.
