June 2026 in “Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology” This retrospective observational study evaluated the efficacy and safety of hair mesotherapy using a formulation with biomimetic peptides, vitamins, and micronutrients in 50 patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Over 3 months, patients received eight sessions of mesotherapy, resulting in significant improvements in hair parameters, such as reduced hair diameter variability, decreased empty follicles, and increased upright vellus hairs. Trichoscan analysis showed significant increases in total hair count, hair density, average hair thickness, terminal hair density, and terminal hair ratio. The treatment was well-tolerated, with only mild, transient pain reported. The study concludes that this mesotherapy approach is a promising treatment for AGA, though larger controlled trials are necessary for further validation.
