The primary sources of information were the Internet, nurses, and peers with the same condition. Unmet needs included more opportunities to consult with others who experienced hair loss, information on wigs for younger people, and details on recurrent hair loss. The study highlights the need for tailored information for younger generations, improved health literacy support, and better access to consultations with individuals who have experienced hair loss.
