research 42005 Sustained scalp, eyebrow, and eyelash hair regrowth with ritlecitinib through Week 48 in patients with alopecia areata: post hoc analysis of the ALLEGRO phase 2b/3 study
The post hoc analysis of the ALLEGRO phase 2b/3 study evaluated the sustained efficacy of ritlecitinib, an oral JAK3/TEC inhibitor, in patients with alopecia areata over 48 weeks. Patients aged 12 and older with at least 50% scalp hair loss were treated with varying doses of ritlecitinib or placebo. Results showed that among those who responded to treatment at Week 24, over 85% with a SALT score ≤20 and over 68% with a SALT score ≤10 maintained their response through Week 48. Additionally, more than half of the patients with eyebrow and eyelash improvements sustained their response. Ritlecitinib was well tolerated, indicating its potential as an effective treatment for alopecia areata.
