A Case Report: Treatment of Anaplasmosis and Ectoparasitic Infestation in a Mixed-Breed Golden Retriever Dog

    A 6-month-old mixed-breed golden retriever with anaplasmosis and ectoparasitic infestation was successfully treated at Udayana University. The dog presented with symptoms such as itching, tick infestation, weakness, and decreased appetite. Clinical examination showed anemia and thrombocytopenia, and blood tests confirmed Anaplasma sp. infection. Treatment included doxycycline and ivermectin for the infection, along with supportive therapies Fufang E'jiao Jiang® and Sangobion®. This regimen led to improved activity, hair growth, appetite, and the elimination of ticks.
