TLDR Ayurvedic treatment effectively improved patchy hair loss using simple, cost-effective methods.
This case report describes the successful Ayurvedic treatment of a 32-year-old female with Alopecia areata, using a three-phase approach: detoxification, bloodletting, and rejuvenation therapy. The treatment included medicated ghee, mild purgation, nasal drops, bloodletting, and Chakramarda leaves application. After 4 months, the patient's hair fully regrew, and a year later, there was no relapse. The report suggests that Ayurvedic therapies could be a safe, economical, and holistic alternative to conventional treatments, recommending further clinical trials with larger samples.
